Focus Verse:
“Go out, and stand on the mountain before the LORD.”
— 1 Kings 19:11a, NKJV
Elijah had just seen God move powerfully on Mount Carmel, yet soon after, he was running for his life from Jezebel. Fear, exhaustion, and discouragement overwhelmed him.
Isn’t that just like us sometimes? One day we feel strong in the Lord, and the next day we feel weary, afraid, and alone.
But God met Elijah tenderly. He gave him food, rest, direction, and then called him to stand before Him.
God was not in the wind, earthquake, or fire, but in the still small voice.
powerfully
Sweet friend, when fear is loud, God’s gentle voice is still steady.
Stand before Him. Listen. He is near.
Journaling Prompt:
Where do you need to stop running and stand before the Lord today?
